Anahita Gallery, Inc specializes in vintage and modern international photography with a focus on Russia and Central Asia. We show vintage work by Bulla, Dudin, Eremin, Grinberg, Penson, Rodchenko, Shagin, Shokin, Zelma and others. Our contemporary Russian photographers include Boris Savelev, Sergei Gitman, Elena Darikovich, Alexander Lapin, Igor Mukhin, Alexander Slyusarev, Boris Smelov and Maria Snigerevskaya. Other contemporary artists include Uzbekistan photographers Marat Baltibaev and Anatoly Rahimbaev, Irish photographer Trina McKillen and Columbian photographer Hector Acebes.

We show vintage works from around the world, including Native American images from the USA, Africa, Southeast Asia, Siberia, India and Tibet.

Gallery owners Kate Fitz Gibbon and Andrew Hale each have thirty years of experience working in the art of Central Asia. They have published numerous articles and two books on Central Asian art, focusing on photography, urban and nomadic textiles, architectural materials, Islamic metalwork, and the Central Asian Bronze Age. Their second book, Ikat: Silks of Central Asia, The Guido Goldman Collection, received the George Wittenborn Memorial Book Award for Best Art Book of 1997. Kate Fitz Gibbon works as a consultant and writer on cultural property issues and art law, and served as a cultural property advisor to Presidents Clinton and Bush.
